Here are a couple tips and tricks for getting the most out of your youtube videos, or more importantly , other peoples youtube videos. All using straightforward methods, and tactics. No black hat magic today.

This first little tidbit, is what I use on an adsense recycler page. The adsense recycler can be used to grab a couple extra bucks from your list, and still provide something useful to them. What you want to do is find a video that could be useful to your list, but possibly has an intro that promotes someone elses website. Now you want a video that doesn’t promote someone elses website, but if it does, we can have youtube skip right over the that intro promotion, and get right to the good part.

Skipping to the Good Part

On the page, all you want is a video, and some adsense ads. You send your list to the page, telling them to just check out this little useful video (and it should be something useful). The go watch the video, and since they dont have any action to take, they will most likely click on an adsense ad, and send 50 cents your way.

Now the whole key of this method is to do something very quick and easy, and make a few bucks from it. So, not having to create your own content, and write up a sales letter is what you want. Do a simple search on youtube for something that can be useful to your list, embed the video on the page with an adsense ad, and send your list a email telling them about the cool little video you found and that they can watch it here.

Making a Couple Quick Bucks

So, now what to do if the youtube video had some other website being promoted in the intro, or if the video just doesn’t get to the good stuff until six minutes in? Well, in this little trick, you can start the youtube video six minutes into the video, or where ever you want. Simply appendĀ  &start=35 to the youtube identifier, and the video will start 35 second in, therefore skipping the lame parts, or someone elses website.

If you arent imbedding the youtube video on your website, and are sending someone the link to watch the video on youtube, you can append #t=1m25 to the end of the link like
http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=p1d19wV1GZQ#t=0m56s

Another little tip for your youtube video is to not allow related videos show up after the video is finished playing. We don’t want our user going to see someone elses videos, we want them to click our adsense links, or buy our stuff. We can also append rel=0 to make sure related videos are not shown after the video is showing. Or, another way to keep them from seeing the related videos, is to loop the video. This will simply start the video again. Just add &loop=1 after the youtube ID for this.

Thats it for now…
